Esteban Ocon arrives at Renault having spent 2019 working as Mercedes' reserve driver. The Frenchman has admitted he joins Renault with a lot more knowledge which he could be able to share with his new team. Ocon sat out the 2019 season after being dropped by Racing Point. Instead, he worked as Mercedes' reserve driver but received very limited opportunities and when he was confirmed to be moving to Renault he was gradually phased out.
