2021 F1 cars going to “be a real nasty piece of work to drive”

The 2021 Formula 1 cars will be a “real nasty piece of work to drive” according to SportPesa Racing Point technical director Andrew Green due to airflow coming off the front wing possibly affecting the handling of the car. The aim of the 2021 regulations being put into place is to allow for cars to follow each other easier with a reduction of the amount of dirty air created by current and previous cars. While the reduction of dirty has been proven Green says that air created from a drivers own front wing could potentially cause issues, wanting more freedom around its design to avoid any problems. “I think there are areas that could do with being freed up around...
