Formula E given FIA world championship status for 2020/21

The FIA are set to officially recognize Formula E as a world championship from the start of next season. The electric single-seater racing will join Formula 1, World Endurance, World Rally and World Rallycross championships as part of the FIA's world championships.  Formula E has continued to grow in popularity each season and being granted this recognition should see it become even more popular. To be granted the FIA status a racing series has to have four manufacturer competitors and races on three continents.
