F1's Miami GP hopes boosted in crucial vote

Formula 1's hopes of staging a Miami Grand Prix in 2021 snuck through a County Commission vote, putting opponents of the race onto the back foot. Miami-Dade county mayor, Carlos Gimenez, vetoed a series of measures brought to try and block the race last week, with the Commission then voting to uphold the veto by seven votes to five. Gimenez says he hopes to bring the sides together as talks continue on trying to get the race in place for the 2021 season.
