Formula 1's hopes of staging a Miami Grand Prix in 2021 snuck through a County Commission vote, putting opponents of the race onto the back foot. Miami-Dade county mayor, Carlos Gimenez, vetoed a series of measures brought to try and block the race last week, with the Commission then voting to uphold the veto by seven votes to five.
