Alfa Romeo retains Antonio Giovinazzi for 2020

Alfa Romeo Racing has announced that Antonio Giovinazzi will continue to race with the team for a second year in 2020, marking an unchanged Formula 1 line-up for the Swiss-based squad. Giovinazzi was signed by Alfa Romeo for his first full season in F1 this year after making two substitute appearances for the team in 2017, and has scored four points so far. The Italian has been left waiting on confirmation of his F1 future despite positive hints from team boss Frederic Vasseur, but has now been formally confirmed by Alfa Romeo, as per an announcement made on Monday morning.
