Briatore: Ferrari, Mercedes or Red Bull for Alonso or no F1

Flavio Briatore has once again done some PR on behalf of his one-time protege Fernando Alonso by declaring (yet again) that the Spaniard will only return to Formula 1 if he gets an offer from a top-three team. Alonso quit the sport last year, insisting he would rather take on challenges in sportscar racing, Indycar and off-road rallying than continue to race in the F1 midfield. Briatore, who remains close to Alonso's management, told Radio RAI, 'Alonso? I spoke to him about it. Fernando will return only if he has a seat at Ferrari, Mercedes or Red Bull, otherwise it makes no sense.'
