Pirelli conclude extra 2020 tyre testing with Mercedes

Catalunya – Pirelli's last-minute extra tyre test in Barcelona has concluded, with Mercedes carrying out testing on Tuesday. Pirelli were granted an extra two day test at Spain's Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this week, with the tyre manufacturer seeking some extra days before the conclusion of the season in order to help them nail down their 2020 tyre compounds. Three teams agreed to supply a car and driver for the two days in Spain, which was gratefully received by Pirelli as they acknowledged how difficult it was to do so in light of the Japanese Grand Prix this weekend, as well as the following flyaway races.
