Pirelli will give 2020 tyres to F1 teams in practice ahead of United States GP

Formula 1 teams and drivers will be given the chance to experience the 2020 F1 tyres during the United States Grand Prix weekend. During Friday practice, each driver will receive two sets of the Pirelli 2020 compounds.  The drivers can use next year's tyres in either FP1 or FP2. The FIA will be using rule which has been rarely used. This rule states that an additional tyre can be used at certain events for "evaluation purposes following a recommendation to the FIA from the supplier."
