Hamilton seizing advantage of Vettel DNF to seal Russian GP

Championship leader Lewis Hamilton took the advantages with the Russian Grand Prix victory after race leader Sebastian Vettel’s retirement. During the Virtual Safety Car period Mercedes duo made pit-stop advantages and made 1-2 finish. Pole sitter Charles Leclerc managed to finish third. Max Verstappen finished in fourth place having started from ninth following a five-place grid penalty and his teammate Alexander Albon finished on fifth. Carlos Sainz impressed again with sixth for McLaren. Vettel repeatedly ignored team orders, was forced to retire mid-race.
