Leclerc fends off Hamilton to take first victory at Spa-Francorchamps
Charles Leclerc has won his first ever Formula One Grand Prix by taking a lights to flag victory at Spa-Francorchamps. Completing the podium in Belgium are Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas for Mercedes. On the back of Saturday's F2 crash in which Anthoine Hubert lost his life, preparations for the Belgian Grand Prix were very much subdued, and in light of tributes to the late 22-year old Frenchman. All teams agreed to run tribute stickers, while some drivers added further details. Leclerc for instance had 'RIP Tonio' on his steering wheel, while Pierre Gasly's car read 'Always with me #AH19' on his Halo.
