British GP set for later slot on 2020 F1 calendar
The British Grand Prix is set to take place a week later than usual on the 2020 Formula 1 calendar. This year’s event was held on July 14, but next season’s race at Silverstone has been provisionally pencilled in for July 19 2020, moving it back by exactly a week. The date emerged as the Northamptonshire circuit confirmed its tickets going on sale for the race, which will mark the start of its new five-year contract, with Silverstone remaining the British GP’s permanent home until at least the end of 2024.
