British GP set for later slot on 2020 F1 calendar

The British Grand Prix is set to take place a week later than usual on the 2020 Formula 1 calendar. This year’s event was held on July 14, but next season’s race at Silverstone has been provisionally pencilled in for July 19 2020, moving it back by exactly a week. The date emerged as the Northamptonshire circuit confirmed its tickets going on sale for the race, which will mark the start of its new five-year contract, with Silverstone remaining the British GP’s permanent home until at least the end of 2024. Silverstone made it clear the date is subject to change.  If the date stands, it will be the latest the British GP has been held since the 2003 event, which took place on July...
