Sergio Perez hopes 2021 rule changes lead to midfield teams on podiums

Sergio Perez believes that if the cars were all equal then the grid would only be separated by a few tenths of a second. In Formula 1 the top three teams are so much faster and this means that quality drivers in the midfield can go through their whole career without finishing on the podium at all. The Mexican hopes the 2021 rule changes make the cars more equal and that midfield drivers finish on the podium more often.  "It is something bad for the sport and bad for drivers.
