George Russell required to start from the back

French Grand Prix – Williams' George Russell will start Sunday's race in France from the very back after requiring new power unit elements in his car. Russell may have qualified in P19 on Saturday, but will start from P20 after requiring a change of engine components for qualifying. Fitted out with a new Control Electronics and a new Energy Store, the use of these new components exceeds his yearly allowance for these parts and thus triggers automatic penalties. Due to Williams' lack of competitiveness, the penalty is unlikely to make any significant impact on Russell's race, and the British driver was pleased with his overall qualifying performance after going 0.4 quicker than...
