Princess Charlene of Monaco officially started the race by waving the French flag at the 87th running of the 24-Hours of Le Mans, as at 15h00 the field of 61 cars led by the leading Toyotas began the adventure. A record 61 cars started this year’s race which also doubles up as the WEC Super Finale. After the first 90 minutes of racing, the Toyota #7 car with Mike Conway at the wheel led the race. In LMGTE Pro, less than a second separated the top 10 cars with Corvette Racing at the top of the field closely followed by the #95 Aston Martin Racing.
