AP: McLaren's failed Indy 500 effort was a comedy of errors

The fallout from McLaren's failure to get their superstar driver Fernando Alonso into the 103rd edition of the fabled Indianapolis 500 continues as U.S. media provide stinging post mortems to the effort that turns out was more ‘Keystone Cops' than that of an illustrious racing organisation the team is supposed to be. The comedy of errors that doomed McLaren's disastrous return to the Indianapolis 500 began months before Fernando Alonso failed to qualify for the race. How bad was it?
