Formula 1 returns to Zandvoort as Dutch Grand Prix is confirmed

Formula 1 will return to the Netherlands in 2020, as the Dutch Grand Prix has been confirmed at the Circuit Zandvoort. Rumours have abounded for many months that Formula 1 has been itching for a return to the Netherlands, in light of Max Verstappen being one of the most popular drivers in the sport. The Circuit Zandvoort, built just after the end of World War II, has held Grand Prix racing since 1949 and formally became a round of the Formula 1 World Championship in 1955. It held the Dutch Grand Prix every year from then until 1985, aside from 1972 due to a driver's strike.
