Liberty Media looked at Cardiff as an alternative venue for Silverstone

It sounds as if Formula 1 racing will continue at Silverstone after the 2019 edition as a future deal nears. But Liberty Media had looked at Cardiff as a possible venue for a street circuit. Liberty Media had been looking at alternatives with both London and Cardiff marked as possibilities. Silverstone may host its last British Grand Prix this year after a clause in a contract was broken by the BRDC two years ago.
