Horner would prefer 10 competitive teams over 12 teams with less competition

Formula 1 has proposed adding two teams to the grid to increase the number to 12. This has been met with some criticism as some teams feel that more could be done to preserve the teams that are currently on the track. If new teams were to join then there is a possibility that they would only struggle for a few years and then be forced to leave the sport.   “It is one of our strategic goals,” Chase Carey said to PlanetF1, “we want to make the sport more attractive to potential new entrants. “That is a key goal we have, it is certainly a goal in the 2021 regulations.
