Alfa Romeo: We have a good car and can fight for points

The consensus after free practice was that Alfa Romeo had a handy car in the C38, but in qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix they were not quite where they would have wanted on a day where Ferrari power was good for four cars in the top six, but neither were Kimi Raikkonen or Antonio Giovinazzi. Both drivers believe they have a good car, further up the pecking order than the timesheets suggest, which gives the veteran and the rookie confidence for race day. Fellow Ferrari-powered Haas will be the benchmark for the Swiss outfit this season, on this occasion when it mattered the maroon and white cars were lacking.
