Alexander Albon gets first run in Formula 1 car at Misano

Alexander Albon received his maiden Formula 1 outing on Wednesday as part of a filming day with Toro Rosso. Albon finished third in last year’s Formula 2 championship and shortly after the long-anticipated news of his graduation to Formula 1 with Toro Rosso was confirmed. But he was not able to participate in the post-race Abu Dhabi test with the team, with the returning Daniil Kvyat and tester Sean Gelael instead undertaking duties. Albon has already undertaken simulator work in order to get as acclimatised as possible with his new Formula 1 team, having been extricated from his planned Formula E move with Nissan to make the step up.
