Ricciardo admits he was left frustrated after Mercedes and Ferrari snub

Daniel Ricciardo has revealed that he was disappointed to miss out on a drive with Mercedes or Ferrari. The former Red Bull driver will race for Renault in 2019 instead. Instead of a move to the top two teams, Ricciardo was left with Renault and McLaren as options before deciding to leave Red Bull for the French team. On Sky Sports F1 presenter Natalie Pinkham's podcast, the Australian admitted he was frustrated with a lack of offers from both of F1's top teams. "Yes - to answer it bluntly. At the end of the day in the next 12 months I still think, and everybody would say this, that Mercedes and Ferrari are going to be the teams to beat. "Maybe other teams could take a win here...
