Expecting a budget cap in 2021, Cyril Abiteboul says Renault will not bolster their staff numbers only to retrench in two years. Formula 1's powers-that-be are pushing for a budget cap come 2021, the year that the new Concorde Agreement comes into effect. This years many of the sport's bigger teams such as Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull will be forced into making redundancies to reduce their spending.
