Hartley's father rubbishes Ferrari rumours

Brendon Hartley won't be taking up a role as Ferrari's test or simulator driver; that's according to the New Zealander's father. Axed by Toro Rosso at the end of the 2018 season, Hartley was left without a race drive for the upcoming season. He has, however, been linked to Ferrari with Italy's Corriere dello Sport claiming he is a leading candidate to replace Daniil Kvyat as the Scuderia's test driver. 'It's just rumours,' Hartley's father Bryan told Newshub. The 29-year-old has already re-signed with Porsche for the 2019 season, rejoining the factory driver programme.
