Paddy Lowe: Teams tried to stop Formula 1 2019 rules loopholes

Williams technical chief Paddy Lowe has said that Formula 1 teams have made a joint effort to ensure the 2019 aerodynamic rules do not leave any loopholes that can be exploited. In an attempt to increase the number of overtakes in Formula 1, Liberty Media has said that this year the cars will be changed to make them less aerodynamically sensitive when they are following each other.  In previous years, rule changes have allowed some teams to gain an advantage by pouncing on ambiguities - most famously with the double diffuser concept that championship winner Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams deployed in 2009.
