Video: Matt Bishop F1 media man extraordinaire

Former F1 Racing Editor turned McLaren PR chief Matt Bishop gives a fascinating insight into his time as editor of the iconic magazine through to his time in the heart of Lewis Hamilton's 2008 title-winning year until he departed the Woking last year. I for one recall the early F1 Magazine very well, it was the successor (for me) to the much missed Grand Prix International magazine of the eighties, with an ethos on quality and exclusivity. In its time F1 Racing became the big daddy of motorsport magazines, with real scoops in an era before the internet, when writing was a respected craft.
