Alonso planning 'many more' 2019 commitments

Fernando Alonso says he wants to pack his 2019 schedule, having already added a return to the Indianapolis 500 to his remaining commitments to Toyota in the World Endurance Championship. Alonso had been linked with a full-time IndyCar drive in 2019, but he is expected to only take part in its flagship race. After this weekend's 6 Hours of Shanghai, WEC's 2018-19 campaign will return in the new year with events in Sebring (March), Spa-Francorchamps (May) and June's Le Mans 24 Hours. The 2019 Indy 500 is just three weeks after the Spa WEC event, ensuring Alonso will remain busy, despite ditching Formula 1 in 2019.
