Alonso returns to Indy 500 with 'unfinished business'

Fernando Alonso is returning to the Indianapolis 500 with "unfinished business" and a determination to win the race, and take out the 'Triple Crown'. McLaren confirmed that Alonso will have another crack at the Brickyard following qualifying for the Brazilian GP. Alonso's previous effort at the Indy 500 ended in engine failure in his Honda-powered Andretti Autosport car – a similar feeling for the Spaniard in three years with McLaren and Honda. It has been reported that the Japanese marque's hesitance to supply Alonso with an engine in 2019 put the brakes on a full-time run in IndyCar – with McLaren failing to put together a team in time to enter.
