Daniil Kvyat to make STR return at Abu Dhabi F1 tyre test
Daniil Kvyat will return to Formula 1 action at this month’s post-race tyre test in Abu Dhabi, Toro Rosso has confirmed. Formula 1 will stay on at the Yas Marina Circuit for two days of running in order to trial Pirelli’s 2019 compounds. It marks the last group running prior to the opening pre-season test of 2019, which begins in Barcelona in mid-February. Kvyat competed for Toro Rosso in 2014 and returned to the team after four rounds of 2016, having been replaced at Red Bull by Max Verstappen. But he struggled for speed and consistency and was dropped from the team’s line-up towards the end of 2017, with his final appearance coming at the United States Grand Prix. Kvyat...
