Vietnam To Host First Ever Formula 1 Race in April 2020

Formula 1 has confirmed that a race in Vietnam will take place in the 2020 Formula 1 season. The capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi will host the first ever Vietnam Grand Prix event as F1 is set to expand its calendar with the addition of Miami, who are set for a 2020 debut date. Vietnam will join Japan, China and Singapore on the calendar as one of the Eastern Asian races in F1. Vietnam will also become the sixth Asian race in the sport, with the addition of Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. Liberty Media has agreed a deal with VinGroup on a multi-year contract to host a race within the streets of Hanoi, as the sport aims to break new ground.
