Ericsson marks Mexico as a "breakthrough" for himself

Marcus Ericsson managed to put his Sauber into Q3 during qualifying in Mexico last week. The Swede has marked this as a small breakthrough in his career. During the season, Sauber have moved up into the midfield with Charles Leclerc often finishing inside the points. During race day, Ericsson moved up one place to finish ninth. He believes it's a big point in his career. "That's a very important result," Ericsson told Motorsport. "I had qualifying difficulties throughout the year, and stayed too far from the points, which of course affected my results this year."
