Austin track features new kerbs to prevent corner cutting

Twelve months ago, Max Verstappen was denied a podium finish in the US Grand Prix because he received a 5-second penalty for cutting the corner at turns 16 and 17. To prevent a reoccurrence this year, F1 have installed new kerbs at these turns. It was on the final lap when Verstappen picked up his penalty. He passed Kimi Raikkonen but had all four wheels off the track. The Dutchman launched an attack on the stewards. The FIA will this year make changes. The kerbs measure two meters long, one meter wide and 50mm high. Going over these will cause some damage to the cars.
