Hartley ‘Focused on doing the Best’ He Can ‘One Race at a Time’ Amid Uncertainty over Future

Brendon Hartley remains focused on the job in hand at Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda, although he knows doing the best job he can do will make it easier when it comes to negotiating with the team about staying there for 2019. The New Zealander has only scored two points so far in 2018, thanks to tenth place finishes in the Azerbaijan and German Grand Prix and finds himself sitting nineteenth in the Drivers’ Championship with just seven races remaining. In comparison, team-mate Pierre Gasly has twenty-eight points and a best finish of fourth in the Bahrain Grand Prix, and Hartley acknowledges that he needs to convert what he feels has been stronger performances in recent races into points...
