"We want to give drivers like Mick Schumacher a chance in Formula 1"

Chase Carey has admitted that he wants to get Mick Schumacher into F1. He suggests it would help increase publicity of F1 following all the attraction which surrounds the name 'Schumacher'. "The role of Michael Schumacher is still big in F1 nowadays. He is and remains an icon for the sport," Carey tells Bild am Sonntag. "It should be easier for young drivers to move on to Formula 1, it would be special if Mick also had that possibility." Mick, son of Michael, currently competes in Formula 3. Just the other week, he won his first race in F3 at Belgium. The same track on which his dad achieved his first win in F1.
