Alan Jones to celebrate Australian GPs 90th anniversary

Alan Jones celebrating victory at the 1981 Caesar's Palace Grand Prix Australian Formula 1 world champion Alan Jones will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Australian Grand Prix as part of the Motorclassica in Melbourne later this year. The 1980 world champion won the Australian Grand Prix at Calder Park, while his father Stan won the race in 1959 at the wheel of a Maserati 250F at Longford. They remain the only father and son combination to have won the event in its history.
