Pirelli's Mario Isola: Chinese GP tyre choice gives 'several different possibilities for strategy'

Mario Isola has said that Pirelli‘s unconventional tyre choice for the Chinese Grand Prix will create the possibility for several strategies. Pirelli have chosen the ultra-soft, soft and medium compounds, opting to leave out the super-soft tyre for a more 'evenly-spaced' choice, as Formula 1 looks to move away from one-stop races. 'The new wider range of 2018 P Zero compounds have allowed us to come up with some nominations this year where there is a gap in the tyres selected,' said Isola.
