Force India likely to scrap 'Force One' name change

Force India is rethinking its name change for 2018 as it will likely discard the 'Force One' moniker it was considering at one point. The Silverstone-based outfit is looking to change its appellation to a more global sounding name in its quest to boost its international identity with sponsors. The name 'Force One' appeared as a likely choice, and indeed it was registered in the UK earlier this year along with various entities. The denomination is considered too close to 'Formula One' however, and Force India deputy team principal Bob Fernley is now considering other name options.
