Pirelli to alter its colours for the American GP

Formula One’s sole tyre manufacturer Pirelli changes the colour of its ultrasoft compound for this weekend’s American GP. The swap applies only for this race weekend and is part of a worldwide campaign. The Milan-based tyre company does not intend to introduce a new compound or any changes on its softest tyre. It will only swap the purple colour on the sidewalls of the ultrasoft compound to pink. As Pirelli says it is for a brilliant cause. “The pink ribbon is the symbol of Breast Cancer Care, a foundation that aims to defeat breast cancer and whose message has been adopted by the teams again this weekend to raise maximum awareness,” says Pirelli.
