Danish consortium in talks for F1 grand prix
A Red Bull Racing demonstration in Copenhagen in August 2012 A Danish consortium is in advanced talks with Formula 1 bosses about staging a grand prix in Copenhagen in 2020. According to a report in Autosport, the grand prix would run on a street circuit in the centre of the city, taking in landmarks such as parliament and crossing two major bridges. The consortium is headed up by Helge Sander, a former Danish Minister of Science, Technology and Development, and Lars Seier Christensen, ex-owner of Saxo Bank, a Danish investment bank.
