Former Mercedes boss Haug urges Porsche to enter F1

Former Mercedes motorsport boss Norbert Haug believes "Formula 1 would be a great fit" for Porsche as the German manufacturer ponders a possible future involvement. Following its departure from the prime LMP1 category of World Endurance Championship, and it commitment to Formula E from 2019, Porsche has expressed an interest in returning to Grand Prix racing. The manufacturer insists its current potential prospects only include an involvement as an engine manufacturer beyond 2020, when F1 introduces its new engine platform.
