Despite McLaren and Honda's 2017 woes, their star driver Fernando Alonso says his season has been 'very very good' so far. With Honda still working through performance and reliability issues, McLaren find themselves in a position where writing of the current season seems like the best way forward, as the team have scored just 11 points – nine of which came in the most recent race – and sit second to last in the standings. Whilst Alonso concedes the team's season is far from desirable, he says on a personal level he is performing better than ever and hailed the first half of the year 'fantastic'.
