Marcus Ericsson blames 'overheating brakes and cold tyres' for safety car crash
Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson has blamed “overheating brakes and cold tyres” for his crash behind the safety car during the Monaco Grand Prix. The Swede was running 16th when the safety car was deployed for an incident involving his team-mate Pascal Wehrlein and Jenson Button at Portier. He was struggling with overheating brakes and cold tyres during the slow-speed running and after four laps behind the safety car, he crashed out of the race.
