Hamilton on pole for Australian Grand Prix – Qualifying Report
Australian Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton took his 62nd career pole position ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas in Melbourne. The Mercedes driver claimed pole position by one-quarter of a second ahead of Ferrari's Vettel and team-mate Bottas. Kimi Raikkonen took fourth place but was unable to match the pace of his team-mate in the cooler conditions at the Albert Park circuit. Max Verstappen could only manage the fifth-fastest time of the Q3 session, whilst Romain Grosjean (Haas) was the only other driver to finish within two seconds of Hamilton's pole time.
