Palmer ‘really confident' of a better 2017

Having secured a second season with Renault, Jolyon Palmer believes last year's 'difficult times' will stand him in good stead this season. Last season, with just one point to his name, Palmer's place on the Formula 1 grid was on the line. The situation appeared dire when Renault signed Nico Hulkenberg to the fold, however, instead of Palmer losing his seat, it was Kevin Magnussen who left the team. Preparing for his second season in F1, Palmer is hoping that last year's trials will stand him in good stead.
