James Allison to join Mercedes as Technical Director

Mercedes has confirmed that James Allison will join the team as its new technical director at the start of March. Allison has spent over two decades working in senior roles in Formula 1, most prominently with Renault and Ferrari, but left the Italian squad last summer. Allison will take on the newly-created role of technical director on March 1, reporting directly to Toto Wolff, who 'will have overall responsibility for running the team.'
