We Should ‘copy the road car' and ‘bring active suspensions back' – Boullier

At a time when Scuderia Ferrari are asking for the removal of ‘trick' suspensions, Eric Boullier would like to see the return of active suspensions. ‘Trick' suspensions are used by Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team and Red Bull Racing. The system adjusts the car's ride height and produces greater downforce levels in corners through the use of a third suspension element. Active suspensions have been banned from the paddock since 1994, but are now finding themselves a topic of discussion between the FIA and F1’s technical directors.
