Sauber's Zander targeting midfield in 2017

Jörg Zander has set the Sauber team a target of regularly running in the midfield as the Hinwil squad aim to recover from a lacklustre 2016 season. Following the new investment into the Sauber team part-way through the 2016 season, Jörg Zander joined the team as their new Technical Director and was one of several key additions for 2017. After a disappointing 2016 the Swiss team – where they narrowly beat Manor to 10th place in the constructors' championship – Zander is hoping for an immediate gains, but emphasised that season-long development will be key to further success.
