McLaren 2017 Formula 1 livery ‘not traditional’ as Zak Brown hints at orange

McLaren will race in a Formula 1 livery that is 'not traditional' in 2017, with executive director Zak Brown hinting that the team could be set to return to its orange roots in some regard. McLaren raced with papaya-liveried cars in Can-Am and in F1 from 1968 to 1971, and last tested in orange back in 2006 before reverting to its regular black and white colours for races. However, Brown has confirmed that the team is poised to change direction with its livery after sticking to a largely black design for the past two seasons since the arrival of engine partner Honda, hinting that orange could be incorporated.
