Toro Rosso's new car passes crash tests

– Toro Rosso is the second team to confirm that its new car has passed the FIA's crash tests.Formula 1 will enter a new era of technical regulations from the 2017 season, with cars set to be four to five seconds per lap faster than 2016, due to revised aerodynamics and much wider Pirelli tyres.Toro Rosso, which has yet to confirm when it will launch its 2017 car, joins Force India in announcing that it has cleared the mandatory checks ahead of pre-season testing, which gets under way next month.Barcelona will host two tests from February 27 to March 2 and March 7 to 10.Carlos Sainz Jr. and former Red Bull racer Daniil Kvyat remain at Toro Rosso.
