Tech Talk – Suspension Banned

The suspension controversy continues, with the apparent FIA ban….     It looks as if Mercedes performance may take a dip after the recent FIA re-classification of their clever suspension trick.   Ferrari along with other teams cottoned on to suspension mid-season but in the run up to the new car releases, issued a statement to the FIA asking whether the suspension was allowed or in fact against the FIA's regulation.   'We would, therefore, question the legality of these systems under Art. 3.15 and its interpretation in TD/002-11, discriminating between whether certain details are ‘wholly incidental to the main purpose of the suspension system' or...
