Massa set to put retirement plans on hold, Bottas set for Mercedes move

Felipe Massa is set to come out of retirement early to return to Williams for 2017 alongside rookie Lance Stroll, according to Brazilian media. Williams reportedly offered Massa £5 million to return to the sport, just a month after his emotional walk through the pit lane after crashing out of, what at the time was, his final home race. The team is seeking an experienced driver to partner eighteen-year-old Stroll for his maiden Formula One season, with Massa being the strongest candidate who checks all of Williams’ boxes.
